Not a Fan of the Fan

Um. Hi. There are two things going on here.
First, you might notice that I am posting a photograph of a cell phone photograph. That is because I am old and lame and can't figure out how to get the cell phone picture out of the phone and onto my computer. Whatever.
Secondly, you might be asking, "Is that a big fan in your office?" Why yes, it is a fan. Not just a big fan but a giant fan. It is the grandpappy of all fans, and by grandpappy, I mean the biggest and oldest mofo fan that you might ever encounter. I’m not sure where it came from but I have a feeling its origins predate the world of air conditioning. Why is it in my office? Because my office has been over 80 degrees for the past four days.
The photo really doesn't do it justice. It's about eight feet tall. Despite the title of this post, I love this fan. I want to take it home to see if it will blow the cats around. Unfortunately, it is only matched in height by its weight. It took two of us to move it three inches.

My brother just gave me a similar fan to yours. I love it. Set on high I feel like I am going to be blown away. Gato doesn't seem to mind it all.

That looks like the kind of fan I used to see in factories and warehouses. It is probably 40 years old and will still be going strong in another 40.
After actually RTFManual I discovered how to get a photograph out of my phone and on to the computer: put my e-mail address in the phone book and e-mail the photo to myself. Only .5 units. Cheap Tracfone.

Wow...would you like to switch offices? I love to be warm and they keep my area at 72. I have a small heater under my desk that I keep going all day. *Strike that* I DON'T have a heater under my desk. *Wink*
Everyone in the office building looks at me strangely, wearing long sleeves and carrying a sweater around. But, if I don't, I'd lose my toes, fingers and tip of my nose to the artic air.

you can sms message your camera pics to flickr (costs me a quarter per). To find the address on Flickr, click on the arrow next to "you" then click "your account" Then click "email." Enter Your Flickr upload email (long goofy email) in your phone, then text the pic to that address. Sounds a lot more complicated than it is.
If you're just being facetious about not knowing how...uh, sorry.

I was being half facetious-- my phone isn't web enabled, though I didn't figure that out until yesterday after a year of owning it.
As someone who is always cold, I usually don't mind a warm office...but this is out of control-- the thermostat read nearly 85 yesterday, and in a room with no windows or ventilation, that's actually really uncomfortable, even for cold people!

I send photos to my email address via text message. Instead of a phone number I use my email addy. It's pretty convenient.

Isn't that the sort of fan they use in movies to simulate blizzards and hurricanes?

" ... to see if it will blow the cats around ..."
The answer is, yes it would.

Corie, you're invited to my Houston office to cool off. You'll need it before your travels.

Yeah, I guess you have the answer by now. I've always emailed the pictures to my computer and took it from there. Happy Birthday, Olive.
