Triangles in Queens

There is something about this house that I love terribly. I want to hug it.

i like the crooked awning.

wish i'd had my camera yesterday. was driving to bed-stuy getting to get my car fixed and in the middle of these rows and rows of dilapidated brownstones were these two turn-of-the-century victorians. one yellow and wide, one blue and sideways. for some reason i had a feeling you'd like them.

Too bad the landscaping (and replacement front door) don't respect the perfect symmetry of the house. One could have a lot of fun with that house.

Definitely the symmetry and the stability implied by the triangles. Just one bit askew - the awning, like a beauty mark on a perfect face. The hierarchy of the windows would put all those ideas and projects in order. How could it not hold the perfectly organized life?

Is that a duplex?

I'm pretty sure it's a one family home but I didn't look that carefully. I'll check again the next time I go.
