High Five

2006-12-19 01.jpg

Hi five to the mistletoe! Or, er, kale. And thank you, everyone, for your holiday suggestions. They were very helpful.

I am also happy to report that Irving has finally crawled out of his nook of sulk in our hallway bookshelf and has assumed his normal abnormalness of sitting on important papers, licking himself and cuddling with his owners. This is, in part, the result of him and Olive getting into their holiday gifts last night, as when I rose to get some water at 3am I found Irving sitting on the kitchen table licking a catnip cigar through the plastic bag that we had been storing it in, along with other toys. Then, when I woke this morning, I found Olive on the same table with her head wedged inside the bag, pawing at a catnip carrot.

Suffice it to say, our house is a little jollier. We are off to Saratoga with the Mighty Quinn to visit my parents and will back on Wednesday.

Good wishes and peace to all.

And just what in the H-E-double-hockey-sticks do you mean by that?!

Well, our household definitely needs some wishes of peace! We just finished dragging bookcases around to create makeshift walls for when we are away. Each set of cats has their own enclosed section of the apartment now....peace indeed!

The cats received their gifts of tuna this morning--we celebrated christmas a day early at my mom's house since I'll be at my dad's for tomorrow.

Our two overweight cats, who have trouble dragging their lazy selves to the garage to pee, and usually make it halfway, sprinted out of their usual routine for the small cups of tuna we perched on the coffee table.
pretty cute!

She is laying right on top of the tree
