Friday

It has been a year since we officially moved into our current apartment and one by one, each light bulb is going out. This would not be an issue except for the fact that our ceilings are very high and we don't own a ladder. If we don't make it to Lowes soon to buy one of those light bulb removers on a pole, we will be operating by candlelight, which wouldn't be a bad thing in concept but would probably result in lot of singed whiskers.

How many Lexacors does it take to change a light bulb? Apparently, none, because we can't reach them.

In other news, it is December and seventy degrees in New York.
In further news, I have found the perfect holiday gift for myself. I love, love, love them. Don't ask because I don't know why.

Just curious - do the googles go with your Harley or a chainsaw?

Nice to see Olive. Are the cats enjoying the warmer weather? Mine is. She is on the balcony right now watching a chipmunk.

ours are sleeping as per usual, though leaving us far more fur than one would want in DECEMBER!

We have 10.5 ft. ceilings in our place and a minimal amount of storage space, so my husband and I bought a telescoping ladder when we first moved to our place and it has worked extremely well. I think they're a little more expensive than standard ladders, but they are very compact and easy to store.

there's such a thing as a lightbulb changing pole thingy?? who knew! what happens if you don't have regular lightbulbs?

Posted by: tien at December 1, 2006 11:57 AM

Yes! You could wear your goggles changing lightbulbs, balanced on your telescoping ladder.

Indeed, there is a lightbulb changing pole thingy and I have just acquired one. It works beautifully and we finally have some light in the house. Huzzah! But the experience would have been more fun while wearing German goggles.

Would those be prescription goggles or just vanity goggles?

The cat photos make me want to get 1) a cat, and 2) more lenses for my old Pentax SLR.
