Summation

Is it me or has time begun to hurtle? Suddenly it is almost Monday and I have twelve hours worth of reading and a paper due.
On Wednesday evening, I had the opportunity to visit the recently opened WTC Tribute Center. I could write many paragraphs on my opinions regarding space and curation but it is Friday, I am tired, and I have no doubt that most are anniversary-ed out. That said, I will just note one thing. I found the most powerful section of the Center to be the one least curated. A collage of family photographs spanning two walls, there are barely any words. They are not missing posters. They are simply artifacts of what once was. They are images of happiness that, in the swiftness of a day, were transformed into elements of mourning.
Sometimes there are no words that capture the magnitude of emotion. This particular exhibit bears justice to that fact.
I am so glad that this week is over.

12 hours of reading and a paper?
Welcome to grad school.
It's great, isn't it?!
Hope it's going well, despite the mountains of work.
