Old Gripe, New Twist

Setting: B61, caddy corner seats in the back of the bus.

Me: Feet in the aisle, staring out the opposite window.
Woman: Sitting perpendicular to me, hands dangling down over my feet, clipping her nails.

Issue: Woman's clipped nails LAND ON MY SHOES.

That is just wrong. Way wrong.

It's usually the men who nailclip on public transportation. That it was a woman is kind of shocking.

Can people (men AND women) not make 3 minutes' time in their bathroom at home to do this?

Umm, yeah... you need to take your heaviest bag, and with a mighty swing whose orbital path allows for maximum velocity, catch that woman on the chin to send her flipping through the window and towards the buildings on the other side of the street.

imho

you should have flipped the nail back onto her and said, "i believe this belongs to you."

I was so repulsed that I was frozen...

Though I also has visions trying to retaliate and then being attacked with the nail clippers.

I'm with Tien on that one. While the clipping-offender was at it, she could have washed her self and wrung out her washcloth on your head.

You are right! That is just wrong! It's disgusting and inelegant.

When I bite mine off, I make sure I discard them in the proper place.

coworkers of mine who sit in close proximity clip their nails (finger and toes) in the office weekly. it never fails.

it's horrifying! the sound makes me cringe - not to mention the nail clippings flying hither and yon.
i seem to be the only person bothered by it.
