The New View

We rose earlier than anyone should on Saturday morning in order for me to catch the B61 (at 7:00 a.m. on a Saturday lovingly dubbed The Methadone Express) to the subway to MetroNorth, all in the name of selecting flowers for the wedding.
The sky was a beautiful cotton candy pink and blue, giving way to a glorious autumn day. Passing through the living room, I paused at the window to look out onto the river, only to find a big-ass cruise ship, complete with fireboats spewing water left and right, at port.
The whole concept of cruise ships docking in Red Hook baffles me. According to the local paper, a footbridge is supposed to be built from the terminal (which is not done) to Van Brunt Street. What people will do when they disembark from the ship is beyond me, except maybe stand on the corner and wait for the B61 for over an hour, which is just what I did that very morning.

Are they planning to re-route the bus around the "angry" sections of the Hook?

we never went to the flower place up north to look at their flowers, but our flowers were from dfw (?), the ones in manhattan, and they were great!
