Os Gêmeos

2005-09-03_44.jpg

While not a wild participant of Flickr, I love the fact that people can teach you things without even sending you a note. Take, for instance, the street art of Os Gêmeos, which Lex and I discovered while on our walk up and through Williamsburg this weekend. Within minutes of posting the photos on Flickr, someone added the proper artist tag.

I love the work of Os Gêmeos, who hail from São Paulo, Brazil. Their images remind me of slightly demented children's book characters-- perhaps the perfect illustrations for the Phantom Tollbooth or the like.

Os Gêmeos(phonetic=Ose Zhe'-mee-ose) means "the twins" in Portuguese. More imagery here and here.
