What Distance Brings

Didn't Tori Amos make a video in the early 1990's where she was moving around in a stark, white box?

Yeah. Well, this has nothing to do with that.

Thank goodness we only have six more evenings of potential IM conversations.

callalillie: After living with your cats part time, I think a seventh addition to the family is neccessary.

alexis: Seventh?

callalillie: Yes. A vacuum cleaner.

alexis: Maybe a mouse they can all chase? A vacuum mouse.

callalillie: Honey, your cats don't chase anything.

alexis: They chase me...when you aren't there. It's terrifying!

callalillie: The only sport that Olga takes part in is nose hooking.

alexis: She is very good at that. It takes an enourmous amount of dexterity. She is a very talented feline. But she should really get a job and start paying her way.

callalillie: She could work at Walmart.

alexis: I just dont want to put too much pressure on her. Plus, Walmart has a terrible prescription plan.

callalillie: True, she does have high blood pressure.

alexis: Does Walmart make aprons in her size?

callalillie: They don't wear aprons. They wear smocks.

alexis: Cat smocks? What a wonderful idea! We should market cat smocks!

callalillie: Hmm.

alexis: For the cat painting classes that Frieda is going to teach...

callalillie: Hmm.

alexis: It's true. She plans on teaching Olive first.

callalillie: Olive wants to be a gymnast.

alexis: This may be true, but it's important that she express herself in other ways as well.

callalillie: No, Olive just likes to climb walls.

alexis: Maybe Olive should be a mountain climber. She could be the first cat to climb Everest. Or maybe a very tall cat home.

callalillie: I don't think she has the attention span for that.

alexis: We would need the laser pointer to help propel her along.

callalillie: You do realize that we have spent the past 20 minutes talking about fantasy jobs for our cats, right?

alexis: Would you rather talk about Gaza?

Count down continues. That conversation is further proof long distance relationships can lead to temporary mental instability. But then again, so can love. And, what they say about "catpeople" really is true. Let's face it, you would have had that conversation face to face. Very soon you will.

That is true. We do regular cat updates on the phone. I don't want to know what our conversations will be like when we actually have a real child.

she would fit right in at walmart.

I've heard that cat whiskers make good paintbrushes.

I think that was Madonna. Is Olive vogueing to the music?

That is actually Olga doing her best interpretation of a beached whale.

Although I am quite entertained by the thought of Olive writhing in a stark white cube dressed in leather singing "express yourself don't repress yourself" (which I think is the video that you're thinking of).

Oh, yes! That's a lot of cat/video name confusion that just happened. I'm glad our communication skills are above that :-)

So if Ms. Frieda is a painter, and Miss Olvie a gymnast/mountaineer, what job will Mr. Irving do? I see him and Madame Olga as office managers.

Posted by: Divaah46 at August 20, 2005 1:56 PM

Irving is a rabbincal student.
