Lunchbox Love

On her last visit home to Malaysia, my bestest buddy Quinn brought back this wonderful Thermos lunchbox, which I promptly stole. I am a sucker for small, neat Japanese design, especially when the containers all fit together into a little box.
The setup is designed for rice in one tupperware and something else in the smaller box (it even came with a little container for dipping sauce), but I had none of those items this week for lunch. Instead, I have found that the little lunchbox system is perfect for cheese and crackers or, like today, tomato, mozzarella, and basil.

Oo, and do all the containers stack together? That is lovely.

Yep. the two containers have tops and then stack together. The top pix shows how they do that...held together by a larger lid (maybe you're supposed to use that to mix your rice and other food?) and an elastic band. And the lunchbag has a thermal lining to keep things cool! Whoo hoo!

i had the same thing yesterday for lunch, minus the heirloom tomato. where did you get that at this time of year?!?!?
also, mine wasn't packaged half as cute. i'm left with tiny american tupperware for lunches.

It is all about Fresh Direct. It's an heirloom tomato, though, so it wasn't cheap. But very yummy!

i can't believe that a company like thermos makes such a trendy looking "lunchbox" - it kind of blows my mind.
