Gorgeous. I absolutely love the way New York looks this otherwise-gross week.

If I hadn't been so lazy, I would have gotten up from my seat and photographed the view of Red Hook from the F train this morning-- it was so socked in that all you saw were faint outlines of water towers.

Did you use the G2?
An automatic shot or did you use any manual adjustments?
And with the picture from last night?

Both pictures were taken with the Elph on automatic-- the Park Slope image with the extended shutter feature. I just turned the flash off on this one (plus, it was shot through a very dirty window). The Elph really doesn't lend itself as a manual camera...too many tiny buttons to futz with.

Yes, your Elph (Ixus for Europe) is a miniature.
Small, but very capable.
I am very satisfied with my new powershot A300. In the begining I was a little uncertain about the choice (there are so many different models available in the market) but in the end I have realised I shall not get a better camera for the money I paid (I even asked you by mail what was your opinion about this purchase, but I didn't received any answer, therefore I used Mike tests lab to find out if the piece of technology I had over my table was a camera or a bread toaster miniature).

The fog lingering so deep into the day was particularly weird. Looking back at the pictures I took during a very long walk, some of which will eventually make it to the Internet, it didn't let up until almost noon. And if you walked up a hill, it would start to sort of rain. Very strange.

Nice pictures ! Every morning, I look at the temperature in Rio and NYC, usually there's 56 ° difference (°F). Today, suddenly, only 7! Here, in the "old world", the weather is low and the view is boring, and everybody is ill ... but it's friday :-)
