Fairwell, Sweet G2
My G2 seems to have zoomed in and out for the last time. The battery was low the other day and when I went to charge it last night, the entire camera was completely dead. A full night of charging did nothing. I'm hoping that it's just the lithium battery. Either way it sucks.

i think it was just the battery too...but this might pave way for that upgrade. where's papa trancho?

the thing is that i've never seen a battery die like this before.

i have a G2 and my battery will hold a charge for like 5 minutes now, im sure it is the battery

papa trancho's offer still stands... corie buys me a canon 20D and I give her my Digital Rebel.
actually, canon is running a rebate on the digi-reb right now. you can get a new body for $680 ($720 for the sexy black body) after rebate. i'll contribute the lens...

Sounds like high time to get a new camera!
Oh, but I don't think the black came out until the silver had been out for a while. As a silver-owner, I agree, the black is prettier and sturdier(?)

they were reserving black for their upper tier cameras but i guess they saw a way to charge an extra $40...

Colours respond to fashion cycles.
I remember when it was fancier to have a silver camera, and all bodies and lenses started to come out on that colour. Black models where "out".
Now black colours are "in" again.

I had a dead Canon G2 after 2years to get along with it. Why it dead is still mistery after it is two year old? I think electronic is broken quick than mechanical (is it true?). For example: ,microwave over, computer board, camera, etc I like to monkey with it so I need another dead G2 camera for part as I learn how to fix it. If you want to sell me a dead G2 camera, please let me know.

I open mine and it had delicated components so be careful to open it. You may break it easily too.
