Nice job Corie - I was at the finish line looking for you but you must've blown by me...Congrats!

Anytime, my dear. I had a fantastic time cheering you on.
You are a star.

Impressive Corie, you ran a great race.

congratulatons! i dunno if you ran by when i was out there, i forgot what a needle-in-the-haystack it is to pick someone out in that throng. unless you were wearing an enormous pink afro or a rhino costume.

Congrats! I'm always surprised how (relatively) fine people are after marathons. After such a long, grueling ordeal, I expect the runner to be lowered onto a stretcher and rushed off to the hospital for a month-long recovery stint. Good thing you didn't go with the new shoes.

Congrats!
It was a lovely day for it.

thanks! lex can attest to the fact that i could have used a stretcher an hour later while waiting at the jay street station for the F train...

Congratulations! My efforts to pick you out of the crowd were similarly futile. how do you feel today?
Posted by: joe at November 8, 2004 8:58 AM
It's true. I got to see her transform from a happy Corie after the race to a shaking, mubling, nauseous, swollen feet, achy joint Corie by the time I got her home.
And may I suggest for next year's race a special blue and orange ING/NYC Marathon barf bag as a finishing gifts. Not that Corie needed one. ;)

Corie!
You kick ass - it was great to spend time with you at Staten Island, which at this point seems like a week ago instead of 36 hours ago. Was it not a completely excellent day?
Hope Uncle Irv was proud; by the time I got home Louise was unimpressed ("where is my dinner?")
