#1 Reason to Come to Work this Morning

On Friday afternoon, in honor of V's birthday, we foiled her cubicle. We went a little overboard when we realized that 200 square feet of aluminum foil could wrap a lot of stuff. She returns to work this morning after a short vacation. I have a feeling she might kill me.

Thank you for the inspiration. Also, this seems like something that could be right out of "The Office."

R'uh oh! They got Scooby!

Velma escaped?

Posted by: matt at November 22, 2004 8:22 AM

We actually stole it from something that another cube farm did a while ago.

Velma was spared...now we're just waiting for theral V to get into the office. I can't figure out if I should be waiting with a camera or hiding for my life.

Hide with camera, get great reaction, and then run!

Excellent! Who knew 200 sq ft of foil would go so far?

I'VE never had my cubicle foiled.

[sniff]

Curses, not foiled again.

I shudder to think of what might happen to my cubicle in the coming weeks. I'd better hide my Jim Henson figurine.

I shall have to come up with some way to thank you appropriately....

Ha! This is awesome, much more fun than the cubicle filled with packing peanuts gag.

Oh my.

Beautiful, fucking beautiful.

Ohh, baby! This is fabulous! I know just where it may strike on the west coast.

So how long does it take to wrap one of them thar' cubicles?

Posted by: matt at November 22, 2004 5:41 PM

Hmm. It took us about an hour...at first it was just me, then a kind of posse formed. It's amazing how tin foil can bring coworkers together.

May I say that I've spent a half hour on it each day, and I am STILL not completely unwrapped? Every time I think some section is done, I notice something like the box of staples, or all the notebooks. I feel as if I'll never be done, and meanwhile, the giant ball of tinfoil is threatening to take over the office.

Posted by: Velma at November 23, 2004 12:28 PM

Wow, 200 feet of foil does go far! I hope the cat in the first picture wasn't real. And how big was the ball of foil after everything got unwrapped?

Posted by: Clare Cooper at December 7, 2004 12:41 PM

that's actually a tinfoiled scooby doo! the ball was pretty big-- about a foot wide or a little bigger.
