I can't wait 'til all of that brush dies away and we can really get a good view of things. It is remarkable how lush it all seems - almost too lush - makes me think that something is being hidden. But then again that is the "story" that I am looking for.

As usual, wonderful photos and a beginning of an amazing history journey. Let's see what can be uncovered...

Everyone is right about there being so much history in those shots. For more please stay in touch. Has anyone ever taken any shots of any graves in that area.

As far as I know, the naval cemetery is not accessible to the public. There was some concern during the early/mid 1990's, when they were building the power plant, that one of the potters fields was going to be disrupted. There are several other old cemeteries, though, such as the Holy Cross cemetery on Jay Street.
