Training Blog

Yep, it's official. Skutchie has finally begun to play with his blog. While many have alluded to his training blog having wheels, the above image is always what comes to my mind.
For those of you that don't know, Skutchie is moving to DC. I can only forgive him for moving there because the acronym for District of Columbia is also short for my favorite beverage (now available in lime). But honestly kids, my gay husband's decision to move has most definitely put a damper on my funny bone.
Now that he'll be keeping a training blog, we can keep better tabs on one another-- as if 24/7 IM isn't enough.
And one last thing...yes, I've been playing with a redesign, but as you can see, things are still a bit wacky. I'm hoping to "work from home" tomorrow because of the snow-- after all, the NYC kids don't have to go...

We're all looking forward to Skutchie devlopment from training to D cup to WonderBlog over the next few months.
I like the new colors. Isn't redesigning a PITA? I'm still not sure that everything looks the way it's supposed to on my site since I changed everything last week.

i'm with your dad - like the new colors. but are you going to keep the old logo? i like the graphic.
and i desparately need a new design for my site as well. do you use a program to do the editing, or just recode in mt?

i might keep the old logo-- i lost the dingbat font that i used for it when my computer crashed, so in order to redo the logo i need to find it, etc.
i usually code by hand and then preview in dreamweaver, which doesn't really work very well. my father recommended a program called topsheet, which i downloaded but haven't had a chance to play with yet. as you can see, something's wrong with my sidebars, etc...grrr. i was too tired last night to figure it all out.

corie I'm a bit bummed to hear your fun loving activity partner skutchie is moving out of Gotham.
But on the bright side, you'll have a place to crash when you go down to DC for John Kerry's inuguration!

you aren't losing me trust me. i am aching already not being in the same city as you. i am trying to figure out what to do. thankfully the apt is really cool, and we can cuddle at the fire. (assuming i know how to use a fireplace). in the mean time i am thinking about you a lot and can't wait to see you on friday.
as for the training bra, people here in the internet cafe thought i was losing it when i laughed so hard
finally not to be on the negative side of the new colors, but i vote against, so hard to read for an old man like me.
xoxoxoxox - missing you
ps - thanks chrisM for the good words too

actually, the site is all fucked up right now and doesn't look like it did last night. the dangers of working with MT while doing something else at work...

You are welcome mr skutchie, good luck to you in our nation's capital.

the CSS editor is called TopStyle Pro 3.1 and though it costs $80, an enterprsing person could possibly find it for free on the Web. Then again, it is worth the $$$. Check out :

Diggin' the new blue. And thanks for hooking me up on your blogs list. I'm going to try to hook something like that up on BH soon.
Stay warm in NYC. I'm writing about the winter there right now, and feeling funny about being here in warm weather.
Abs.

rachelleb, moving to chicago?? no way. dahl going to the west coast, skutchie in DC, tien??? corie??? well someone needs to stay in nyc
Posted by: skutchie at January 29, 2004 1:36 PM
i think i'll be here for good. closing on that apartment and all. well, i want to be here for good and owning an apartment here makes it a lot harder to move.
Posted by: tien at January 29, 2004 2:18 PM
yeah, i'm with tien. plus, i love brooklyn and have no urge to go anywhere...just own other houses in different places, so that i can vacation at my leisure.
Posted by: corie at January 29, 2004 2:21 PM
well, i'm only going for a year, so there's a good chance i'll be back in the city before you realize it
Posted by: dahl at January 29, 2004 2:33 PM
I hope that Skutchie does that, too :(
