THE ART OF FACE
There's been some new graffiti in town over the past month or so. My favorite artist has been doing these simple caricatures that remind me of the late William Steig's art. (I link to his children's book website, however I liken the graffiti to more of his NYorker cartoons, etc.)

Wow, those really are Steig-like aren't they? Especially the top one. I like how all three are riffs on the same pattern.

I really love how they're pretty much one steady swipe of the marker. Drawn easily and quickly, yet with such character and style.
