West 4th St. Fire
Hmm. Quite a lot of smoke in the W4th Street subway station this morning...and a large abundance of fire trucks and firemen milling around the 3rd St/6th Avenue exit. Had I not needed my cup of coffee so badly, I would have gawked and took pictures.
Anyone know what happened (other than the fact that there was obviously a fire somewhere)?

last night i came out of the CVS there and saw a bunch of trucks and firefighters. one truck had a ladder up to the second story right above the closed waverly theater or maybe just to the north of it. i assume that's where the fire was.

Hmm. That's odd. There was definitely visible smoke in the station this morning...maybe something spread overnight?

my friend was taking the F train from the east village to w4th this morning and they made everyone get off at broadway and walk. they said there was a fire... in w4th again?
