And I Will Run

I will start running again.
I will start running again.
I will start running again.

Have I mentioned that I SUCK? The summer, yet again, has gotten the best of me. I hate running in heat and humidity. What I hate more is running on a treadmill. As a result of this attitude, I haven't run seriously in 2 months. Now we're in September and things need to shape up, fast.

Races to run before my birthday:

September 20: Fitness Magazine Mind, Body, Spirit Games 4M

September 25: American Heart Association Wall Street Run, Lower Manhattan 5K

October 5: Norweigan Festival Norway Run/Troll Stroll Kids Races 5K

October 26: Poland Spring Marathon Kickoff 5M

November 23: Race to Deliver/Kids Races 4M

December 6: NYRR Hot Chocolate 15K

December 14: NYRR Joe Kleinerman 10K

December 20: NYRR Holiday 4-Mile 4M

December 31: Runner's World Midnight Run 4M

And then we're headed to the NYC 2004 Marathon. That was a promise made to self last year...

You're not running the 1-miler this weekend??? It's a qualifier!

I might. I've qualified for the 04 marathon, but in my head I'm just pretending that I have to qualify again this year, since I didn't make the lottery for the 03 marathon. Honestly, when it come down to the 5th Ave Mile run, I have issues paying 14 bucks to run a mile. We'll see...

I might be joining you next year... I'm training with a friend down here, but who can beat the NYC marathon? If I only run one more, maybe it should be the NYC one. What day is it? The Marine Corps is on Halloween.

It's Nov 2nd, I think. The 1st weekend in Nov. That would be cute, except you'd run my ass to the ground, Kar. I can't keep up with you.

you are on crack. I haven't run more than 2.3 miles at a time in... oh... 6 months! And the last time I ran I was running a nearly 11 minute mile. I seriously doubt I'd run you into the ground.
what do you mean by that'd be "cute"?

Yeah, but when you're in shape you're in super shape. And you're just plain old healthier than me! It would be cute if we were to be in the same race together.
