The Friendster--- ooops, I mean Belle & Sebastian Concert

por_belleandsebastian3.jpgWell, we all had a good time last night at the Friendster Belle & Sebastian concert last night in Prospect Park. What's with the intentional strikethrough, you ask?

Cheesebus and I had to marvel at the attendees of the concert. We felt as though we were sitting inside our Friendster galleries. Aside from seeing several people from afar that we knew (and stayed afar for a reason), others just looked like people who we were linked to through a friend of a friend of a college roommate...or something like that.

And of course there was that fear that the person next to you might have asked to be your friend...and you'd ignored them...making for a potentially sticky situation. Thankfully, this did not come to pass.

Highlights of the evening:

  • The wonderful friends who arrived late but brought bug spray (the skeeters were horrid at dusk)
  • The fact that Belle & Sebastian played virtually the only song of their's
that I liked: Ooh! Get me away from here I'm dying...
  • And last, but certainly not least-- and what I'd been waiting for all evening--
the mod squad hipster chick who stood up during the last two songs and danced
like a hippie with Tourettes. It was grrrreat.

Of course, because both Cheesebus and I are going to hell, we stood together and giggled 'till the set was over. Because that's what we do, yes indeedy. And yes, we will both burn for eternity.

I heart Corie and Satan and dancing mod chicks.

Callielillie this is not on topic but did you see the movie "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind"?

I think your would/will like it.

PS I'll be burning with you, I hope you will be good company. Yes a fellow student gave me the bad news of what was in store for me back when I was in college. Who am I to dispute it? ;-)
