One of my best friends just moved from Union (between Hoyt and Bond). I must have driven by those a million times crossing the Gowanus and never noticed. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled next time.

There's two of these interesting pieces, both on the Carroll Gardens side of the Gowanus. The neat thing is that they're made of some sort of sticker-like plastic-- cut with what looks like an exacto knife and then put up on the wall...

Huh, that's weird about the material. I wonder if they're new. I think that's the same block where (further up going away from Carroll Gardens, or maybe it's between Nevins and 3rd Ave) there's all this memorial graffiti. Of course, those couple of Gowanus blocks are pretty sketchy so it's not too surprising that they're all graffitied.

Yes, the memorial graffiti is between Nevins and 3rd. I seem to notice something new every time I run down that way. It's fun. I wish that I had a tiny camera that I could carry.
